A few weeks ago, Hope got the awesome opportunity to try out a product made by our favorite treat company, Zuke’s. We have always purchased Zuke’s treats from Pet Club & knew about Power Bones, Tiny Naturals, Lil Links & many more. Hope has always benefited from the Power Bones when she needed a little extra boost on the trail, so when Chewy.com showcased Zuke’s Enhance Mobility for one of their monthly influencer choices we knew we had to scoop it up. Not only because it was a Zuke’s product but Hope has also been slowing down some on our hikes. Now, after a month on the Enhance Mobility chews, she is climbing boulders better, running faster, & seems like a happier girl!
Enhance Mobility chews have so many great ingredients (specifically for the hips & joints) in them. Let me list them below (information is from Zukes.com):
- Glucosamine (supports lubrication & cartilage health in the joints)
- Tumeric (may provide connective tissue support & help lessen stiffness)
- Chondroitin (for cartilage maintenance & joint health)
- MSM (supports cartilage health)
- EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid helps support bone & joint health)
- DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid helps support bone & joint health)
- Rose Hips (may help maintain cartilage & support good joint mobility, also an antioxidant)
- Ascorbic Acid: A natural form of Vitamin C, that helps retain the normal anatomical strength of cartilage & connective tissue. Also an antioxidant.
These chews also have some great inactive ingredients in them as well, such as: Chickpeas, Coconut Oil, Flaxseed, Honey, and Peanut Butter or Chicken (depending on which formula you choose). They are about the size of a Milk Dud & are easy for any dog to chew. They are also grain free & made in the USA. Can’t get much better than that.
After almost a month on the Zuke’s Enhance Mobility chews, Hope seems to have increased mobility and she doesn’t seem to tire out as quickly while on a hike. She climbs up on huge boulders with ease and jumps around like she is 3 years old again. I truly believe the daily support from the chews is what has helped her regain some of her spunk. I would recommend these chews to anyone who thinks their dog is slowing down due to age, having trouble getting up and down, or seems like they are sore after exercise like Hope was after all our hikes.
The only drawback I found with these chews was that large breed dogs have such a large quantity of chews needed daily that you might run through the small 5 ounce bag fairly quick. Hope’s daily chew requirement is 1 per day, but our Mastiff Mix that needs them even more has to take 8 chews per day (he is over 100 pounds).
These chews are not considered your every day “treat” & while giving more than the recommended amount in one day probably won’t hurt your pup, it is advised to give only the amount of chews listed for your dogs weight for maximum efficiency & to avoid things like diarrhea. However, they do advise it is o.k. to give double your dogs dose in the first 4-6 weeks. In the animal hospital world we call this a “loading dose”. Zuke’s does not intend for these chews to be given to pregnant or breeding dogs & they recommend you give them after your pup has eaten to reduce the risk of their tummy getting upset.
Thanks to Zuke’s, Hope got out and killed 6 miles on Friday & didn’t even feel it. We got home & she wanted to play ball & wrestle with the other dogs & our cat. I am so glad I chose these chews as my second product to review for Chewy.com. As always, we want to thank Chewy for offering such great products at great prices for your customers. Happy Trails Everyone!
Is it bad when that I thought “I haven’t had a milk dud in years!” When you made the size reference? 🙂
These treats sound great! We have always loved Zukes and I’m excited about this new treat that will help with mobility!

I’d had Magic on Cosequin until recently and he’s run out. At age 10, he really needs the help so will look into these.

These sound wonderful. With all four of my Huskies now “seniors,” and two with arthritis, I’m going to check them out and see about adding them to their diet supplements. I really like the ingredients. Thank you!
