Ziwi Peak ‘Good-Dog’ Treats

The pups and I were super excited to find out last month we were chosen to be Chewy.com influencers. We have the amazing opportunity to review products from their website which means the dogs get to test out the products they send us to review! For our first package, we chose some super delicious (per the dogs!) meat jerky treats straight outta’ New Zealand; Ziwi Peak ‘Good-Dog’ Treats, Lamb flavor.

The ingredients from these treats come from Mt. Maunganui, New Zealand. They are air-dried to preserve the “nutritional integrity” in the natural, raw ingredients. Fresh meat is the FIRST ingredient so you know you’re getting the most of that…95% to be exact! They have no artificial preservatives, coloring, salt, sugar, fillers (like corn, wheat or soy) and NO GRAIN! There are also no GMO’s, hormones or antibiotics in these noms! They do include healthy vitamins & minerals and Chicory, Lecithin & Parsley. These tiny treats are great for training rewards! They have a strong smell to them that is very attractive to your dog and they are guaranteed to make your dog focus on them (and you)! Just look at Chappie! I do love how the packaging reads: “Feed ZiwiPeak ‘Treats’ to your pet on a casual basis to reward good behavior”.

These treats are easy to store and can be kept in your pantry or cupboard at room temperature. They also have a nifty zip-lock design so closing the bag is easy and it keeps the treats fresh and moist. The small 3oz bag will fit just about anywhere at home or on the go.

Hope and Chappie were first in line to try out these bite sized goodies and boy did they love them. You could say they…dove right in! They got to try the lamb treats this time but I am certain they would love the beef and venison flavors as well. The only thing I disliked about these treats was how small they were. Some pieces were the size of a stick of  Orbit gum and others were the size of a Cheerio. My dogs were like little sharks attacking their prey when taking them from my hand because they smelled so good and they wanted to eat them as quickly as they could. Needless to say, my fingers did not fare so well!
